VAOBA welcomes Connie
Alexander from Crossroads Alpacas

Note that due to possible heat and weather issues, both days' activities will be held at Not the Same Old Grind in Orange. Click here for directions.
We do welcome farm visits
and will be available at the end of both days
Two days of FUN for VAOBA members!
Mark your calendars now; you’ll want to attend these two workshops!
Connie worked as the AOBA Show
Division Administrator from June 1, 2003 through February 18, 2008
and will be sharing her vast knowledge with all of us!
August 9th: Fleece Shows –
The Basics & Beyond: Ever wonder what goes on behind
those closed doors (aka curtains) at Fleece Shows? Learn why some
people fall all over themselves to volunteer at Fleece Shows and
learn what these folks know that you don’t! Attend the upcoming
workshop "Fleece Shows – The Basics & Beyond" and learn all you need
to know for breeding up your fleece and to volunteer at your
upcoming VAOBA Fleece Show and leave with tools of knowledge you
never knew existed!
August 10th: Compliance
Checking – The Basics & Beyond: What the heck color is my alpaca
anyway? This is a common question and one that breeders need to know
when they register their alpacas with the Alpaca Registry Inc. Make
your life easier (not to mention breeze through the color checking
lines too) and learn how to apply the AOBA Color Rules to your
alpacas, and along the way you’ll also learn how to color/compliance
check and be busting at the seams to volunteer at your upcoming
VAOBA show in October as a Color/Compliance Checker!
Two days of fun filled mayhem … it’s
truly the basics and beyond!
