Jolie wins ribbon at 2008 VAOBA Expo!

LPA Rosebud (ARI# 835659)

This very special girl is a remarkable pink/grey color with only 2 dark rose grey spots on her blanket - you won't find her color on the ARI color chart. She has a very high frequency crimp in her fiber and you can see by her micron count that the handle of her fleece is truly wonderful. She has very dark eyes and is nicely conformed. Rosie's first cria was a medium silver grey baby girl - Eliza Gray! Eliza is a stout little girl with very straight legs, and seems to have taken on her sires' (Cameron Mountains full Peruvian Black Nac) strong bone and wedge head. Her second cria was a medium brown boy, Seabiscuit's Premier Budd, out of a black color champion, Seabiscuit.

Her 2008 micron of 22 shows that she is really maintaining her wonderfully fine fiber even as she ages and produces these great cria!

Rosie is currently bred to Express' Peruvian Winston for a spring 2009 cria.

Snow Trillium (ARI# 1130195)

Snow Trillium has excellent presence, bite and a fabulous head, which Mike Safely immediately stated when he saw her. She moves with grace and confidence standing out among the herd in the pasture. She is an attentive mom and her first cria, "Spirit" is lively and playful, with dense crimpy pure white fleece. Her second cria, "Jolie", is a true joy who just took a 4th place halter ribbon in the juvenile beige class at the 2008 VAOBA expo. (5th place was the Reserve Champion in the same class for her fleece, so you can see how competitive the class was!)

Trillium's fleece is fine and dense with nice consistent crimp. Her second shearing ribboned at Mapaca Jubilee. She is snow white except for a small fawn spot on her belly, possibly a gift from her fawn sire or Accoyo Royal Fawn, her great grandsire. We think it indicates she will be able to produce color when bred to color.

Trillium's sire is a multiple award-winner with ultra-fine fleece. Her dam is Prima, a product of a careful combining of Alianza (Peruvian Bueno) and Accoyo (Peruvian Royal Fawn) genetics at Maple Brook Farm.

Seabiscuit's Premiere Budd (ARI# 31129008)

Our first cria (fall 2007) is shaping up to be a nice boy. Looks like he has inherited his mother's fineness (LPA Rosebud) and his father's championship looks (Sunset Hill's Seabiscuit). Being the first of only two boys from the now deceased Seabiscuit, we have great hopes for him in the future.

Cavalier's Jolie Blonde (ARI# 31129008)

Even though no alpaca is perfect, we can't think of a thing to change about Jolie. She has everything you are looking for in a quality female - great fiber, conformation and a star-studded pedigree (Royal Fawn, Bueno, Prestige, Mulder just to name a few).

Jolie took a 4th place ribbon in the juvenile beige class at the 2008 VAOBA Expo. To see how competitive that class was, the 5th place animal's fleece took the reserve championship in the light class at the 2008 VAOBA expo fleece show!

LPA Nike (ARI# 819941)

Nike is our baby-sitter, and is the biggest baby on the farm. A truly great companion animal who gets along great with both crias and adult girls.
